This free workshop from the New York Pork Producers offers hands-on training in essential piglet care and processing practices, led by industry veterinarians from Passion for Pigs. No matter your experience level, this training offers takeaways for both new and experienced producers.

Dr. Mary Smith from Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine and Dr. Rachel White from UMaine Cooperative Extension will be discussing the lifecycles, signs, prevention, and management of deerworm and liver flukes in small ruminants. 

The Cornell Agricultural Marketing Research Program and Penn State University are excited to present this new, 6-week course as part of Cornell's Farmers Market Research Project. The course is for farmers with experience selling at farmers markets who wish to increase their earnings through management and marketing practices.

Farmers, researchers, educators, and agricultural service providers from across the Northeast are invited to the 2026 Cornell Organic Field Crops & Dairy Conference, held Friday, March 6, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Lux Hotel & Conference Center in Waterloo, N.Y.

CCE Cayuga Cayuga, PRODairy, and the SCNY Regional Team, will be hosting their March shop meeting "Understanding the Benefit and Logistics of Dairy and Crop Farmers Sharing Manure." The event is designed to connect dairy and crop farmers interested in exploring manure-sharing arrangements as a practical strategy for reducing input costs and improving nutrient management on both sides of the equation. No registration is required — doors open at 12:30 PM.

This is a 1-day hands-on training in transition cow management offered in English and Spanish. 

Due to the unprecedented winter storm that recently impacted travel conditions across the region and U.S., combined with extreme cold temperatures and associated safety concerns, Forage Congress was postponed out of an abundance of caution. Please join us for a day of workshops and hands-on activities for shepherds, shearers, fiber artists, and interested community members -- learn how to produce quality fleece, process wool at-home, access markets for your wool, help your local shepherds, and strengthen our regional wool supply chain! Hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension Allegany County in collaboration with Allegany Fresh Transport, Northeast Fiber Exchange (NEFX), Southern Tier Fiber Arts Guild, and Crooked Lane Farm. The workshop will be held at the Union University Church Community Center in Alfred, NY on Saturday, March 21st from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Purpose of Program

Attractive dairy farms give the consumer greater confidence in the wholesomeness of milk and stimulate milk sales which encourages public support of the dairy industry. The award gives recognition to the dairy farmer for maintaining a well-kept farmstead.
