Corn Silage Pre-Harvest Workshops

Speakers and topics include:
  • Joe Lawrence Dairy Forage Systems Specialist; PRO-DAIRY: State crop conditions and hybrid considerations; packing and covering of bunkers.
  • John Winchell Alltech: Inoculant varieties, function, and application; mycotoxin outlook.
  • Margaret Quaassdorff NWNY CCE Dairy Management Specialist: Monitoring incoming corn silage (DM, kernel processing, chop length)
  • Additionally, learn how each farm's crop team individually prepares for harvest.
We will cover optimum harvest timing, kernel processing score, particle size, bunker silo packing and optimal fermentation, state crop conditions, inoculant choice and application, along with other timely topics.
No registration required.
