Livestock Production Field Day
What you'll learn during this field day:
- How to raise and manage beef cattle, chickens, turkeys, and pigs for meat production
- What is needed to process and sell meat in New York
- How to set prices and find local markets
- Learn directly from small-scale producers who raise livestock for meat and sell their products
Schedule for Saturday, August 29th:
3:00pm - 5:30pm - Farm Tour of Troll Bridge Farm, Chaffee, NY
5:30pm - 6:00pm - Travel to second Farm
6:00pm - 8:30pm - Dinner and farm tour at Horizon Ridge Farm, East Aurora, NY
This program will be offered in English and Spanish with simultaneous translation.

Join us on visits to Horizon Ridge Farm in East Aurora and Troll Bridge Farm in Chaffee for an introduction to small beef and small diversified livestock enterprises. Through walking farm tours, attendees will learn about management, meat processing, setting prices, and finding local markets. Dinner will be provided.
