Artificial insemination (AI) is one of the most effective tools to accelerate genetic progress and improve herd performance—and now you can learn it hands-on.
The New York Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) program, hosted locally in partnership with [County] CCE and Select Sires, is offering a series of 1.5-day AI training sessions across New York this spring and early summer.
Training Highlights:
- Hands-on training with Select Sires specialists
- Classroom + live animal practice
- Friday classroom (1-5 PM) + Saturday hands-on (9 AM-2 PM)
- $250 per participant
Upcoming Locations & Dates:
- Lewis County (Beller Farms): May 29-30
- Steuben County (Lismore Dairy): June 5-6
- Delaware County (Southtown Dairy): June 26-27
BQA Discount Available: BQA-certified producers are eligible for a $50 discount. To receive the discount code, participants must email Chrissy Claudio at CClaudio@nybeef.org prior to registering to verify certification status and receive the discount code.
