"Lunch With Jerry" Organic Dairy Discussion Groups - Village Hall, St. Hammond, NY

March 31, 2015

"Lunch With Jerry" Organic Dairy Discussion Groups - Village Hall, St. Hammond, NY

New York Organic Dairy Initiative, in collaboration with New York Farm Viability and host farmers, will be providing discussion meetings for dairy farmers across New York State. This year's meetings, titled "Lunch with Jerry", will honor the late Jerry Brunetti, world-wide lecturer on biological farming systems. The discussions will serve as a chance for farmers to share what they have tried and learned in the past year, and to make plans and identify goals for the upcoming season. In addition, organic dairy extension agent, Fay Benson, will show edited video trainings previously done by Jerry Brunetti for the NY Organic Dairy Initiative. There will be no charge for the meetings which will run from March 19th to April 1st and will be hosted by area farmers. Please contact Ellen Fagan (etf22@cornell.edu or 607-753-5078) or visit http://scnydfc.cce.cornell.edu to register for the event nearest you. Lunch will be provided.

2025 Cornell Food Beverage & Animal Feed Manufacturer Survey

December 19, 2025

Industry and Educational Advocates for New York State's Food, Beverage, and Animal Feed Manufacturing industries:

As you know, NYS has a diverse food and beverage manufacturing industry, in both the types of industries that exist and the wide distribution of firms by scale. Many manufacturing firms have strong backward linkages to agricultural production sectors in the state that support both farm-level and downstream food industry firms and consumers. In collaboration with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, a team from Cornell University's Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management has recently rolled out the 2025 New York State Food, Beverage, and Animal Feed Manufacturer Survey. The industry will benefit from an updated assessment of the industry that informs private and public investments and opportunities to support firm growth and improved profitability.
