NY State Beginning Farmer Grant & Loan Forgiveness Program

The New York State Beginning Farmer Grant and the Beginning Farmer Loan Forgiveness Program will be covered in detail during this discussion. Steve Hadcock is working with Todd Erling from Hudson Valley Development Corporation, Bonnie Devine from Empire State Development, Steve McGratton from NYSDAM and others to have a webinar on two timely topics of interest to beginning farmers in NYS.

The webinar will be held on Monday, December 1 (tentatively at 1:00 PM) with a panel of speakers discussing these two topics. Participants are encouraged to view the webinar at Cornell Cooperative Extension in Wyoming County with others who are interested either topic.

Co-hosted by New York Soil Health and Cornell CALS, the annual conference brings together leaders in organic grain, dairy, and livestock systems to share practical tools, new research, and farmer-tested strategies to support resilient and profitable organic production.
