NY Corn & Soybean Winter Expo

January 23, 2020

NY Corn & Soybean Winter Expo

The New York Corn & Soybean Growers Association is very excited to welcome farmer turned social media star Zach Johnson, as our keynote this year. Known to his 300,000+ followers on YouTube as the "Millennial Farmer", Zach is a 5th-generation farmer who's spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family's farm. With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture

2025 Cornell Food Beverage & Animal Feed Manufacturer Survey

December 19, 2025

Industry and Educational Advocates for New York State's Food, Beverage, and Animal Feed Manufacturing industries:

As you know, NYS has a diverse food and beverage manufacturing industry, in both the types of industries that exist and the wide distribution of firms by scale. Many manufacturing firms have strong backward linkages to agricultural production sectors in the state that support both farm-level and downstream food industry firms and consumers. In collaboration with the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, a team from Cornell University's Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management has recently rolled out the 2025 New York State Food, Beverage, and Animal Feed Manufacturer Survey. The industry will benefit from an updated assessment of the industry that informs private and public investments and opportunities to support firm growth and improved profitability.
