Dairy Forage Options for Marginally Drained Land~ Morrisville
January 29, 2020The winter of 2019 pointed out the risk of growing alfalfa on somewhat poorly and poorly drained soils as stands were killed in many instances. But as competition for land increases these wetter fields may be the ones that are readily available for rent or purchase. This workshop will be an informal discussion of what you can do to make the most of these less than ideally drained fields.

Joe Lawrence, Dairy Forage Systems Specialist, PRO-DAIRY, Cornell
Amy Langner, Resource Soil Scientist, NRCS, Marcy, NY
