You're invited to a two-part event, Social Media Basics & Tomato Tasting, on Thursday, September 7th at Schul Farmstead at 5340 Cambria Rd, Sanborn, NY 14132. THIS IS AN UPDATED DATE AND IS THE SAME EVENT THAT WAS SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 17!
At 4:30 pm, Aurora Schul Schunk will teach farmers how to identify social media content "pillars," aka: a list of what to post when you don't know what to post but you know you should be "showing up" on social media, using scheduling tools, tips for creating reels, ways to use Instagram/Facebook stories to engage, hashtags, directing followers to become email subscribers, etc.
Then, at 5:30 pm, we'll taste dozens of varieties of tomatoes, plus some salsas! Participants are encouraged to bring tomatoes from their farms and gardens and/or homemade salsa (made with tomatoes or some other fruit!) for the group to try.
This event is free and open to farmers, people who work on farms, and ag service providers. Participants are welcome to attend the entire event or just the Social Media Basics presentation or just the Tomato Tasting.
