Do you struggle with broken gates, delayed maintenance requests and unsafe driving on your farm? Then come and join us for this *NEW* program where we will cover the basics of farm equipment maintenance, operation and safety. The NWNY Team and CCE Ontario County are pleased to be partnering with the following organizations to bring you this bilingual program: New York Center for Agricultural Medicine and Health (NYCAMH), Monroe Tractor, Cargill and Zoetis.
Active demonstrations will be used to teach participants skid-steer focused maintenance, operation and safety best practices. Other equipment touched on will include tractor and feeding equipment such as payloaders and mixer wagons. The program will also cover basic roadway safety, common farm accidents and PTO safety.
AGENDA:
12-12:15 - Registration and Introductions
12:15-12:45 - Lunch *NYCAMH will present on roadway safety and common farm accidents during lunch*
1-1:45 - Station #1**: Equipment Maintenance (Monroe Tractor)
1:50-2:35- Station #2: Equipment Operation (CCE Ontario County)
2:40-3:25 - Station #3: Equipment Safety (NYCAMH)
3:30-4pm - Wrap up
**Participants will rotate between all stations in groups of 10-12, assigned based on English or Spanish language preference.
