2020 ASA-CSSA-SSSA International Annual Meeting - TRANSLATING VISIONARY SCIENCE TO PRACTICE

November 9 - November 13, 2020

The following pages highlight the featured sessions that will take place during the 2020 Virtual ASA, CSSA, SSSA International Annual Meeting.
These sessions are scheduled for specific dates and times but will be available later for on-demand viewing if you have a scheduling conflict.
This is just a small part of the content and experience that will be available to you as attendees, but we wanted to get some dates and times in front of you to begin your planning.
The rest of the schedule will be available to you on or around Wednesday, November 4th when you are able to login to the Annual Meeting event platform to begin personalizing your experience.
You will receive instructions on the email you registered for the Annual Meeting to gain access to the event platform and the full agenda.
We wanted to outline a few things:
• Content will be available as on-demand content or scheduled content.
• ON-DEMAND content is pre-recorded and available anytime Monday - Friday of the Annual Meeting.
• SCHEDULED CONTENT will be available at a certain time and date. After the scheduled time/date the content will become available for on-demand viewing within 24-48 hours.
• The featured sessions are just a small part of the content that will be available as part of the Annual Meeting. If you don't see your session/meeting on this agenda don't worry, it simply hasn't been released yet.
In addition, some of the other content that will be available includes the following:
• Workshops
• Tours
• Special Sessions
• Oral Presentations
• Poster Sessions
• Business and Planning Meetings
• You will notice "Exhibit + Sponsor Hall, Networking, On-Demand Viewing" on the following pages. This means that you are free to engage with the Annual Meeting as you would like. It is a perfect time to check out the
Exhibition and Sponsorship Hall, attend some special sessions, workshops, or other meetings, perhaps you will use this time to view on-demand content, or you might even dive into some networking opportunities.
• Networking can happen in many different ways in the virtual setting. For specific details please watch a condensed overview of the virtual experience here. Otherwise here is a quick rundown of networking opportunities:
• ROUNDTABLES A virtual table for 6 people or less to have an intimate/productive conversation. These will be pre-scheduled by authors so you can further engage with them and ask them questions about their abstract. In addition, you can
easily schedule these on the fly if you wish to have a group discussion.
• ONE-ON-ONE CONNECTIONS At any time you can look someone up on the attendee directory and initiate a one-on-one conversation with them via chat or setup a roundtable to chat in a video conversation.
• HELLO WORLD VIDEO This video is an opportunity for you to record what you are interested in and who you are hoping to connect with.
• SOAP BOX VIDEO This video allows you to promote content and get people excited and interested in the content.
• RECEPTIONS These are social gatherings that will allow people to engage via chat rooms or video rooms.
Please note all agenda details are subject to change.
Content will be available post-event for 3-months on the Annual Meeting virtual event

NY Small Farms Summit 2025: Stronger Together

December 5, 2025
Alfred, NY

We hope you will join us on December 5th for the 2025 New York Small Farms Summit! This is an opportunity to meet other farmers and ag supporters, learn about research and education projects, and set priorities for future efforts to grow small farm success.

At the Allegany County site, we will focus on giving trees a chance and how trees build resiliency on small farms. Whether attracted to fruit, nuts, vegetables, fodder or shade, trees can be an integral part of a successful farming system. Join us as we explore the opportunities for resiliency that come from adding tree crops or managing wooded areas of your farm for agroforestry or silvopasture systems.
